Fukuzawa Yukichi Memorial Keio History Museum 2024 Spring Special Exhibition Stories Told by Remnants : Keio and WWⅡ
The Keio University Fukuzawa Memorial Center for Modern Japanese Studies initiated the “Keio and World War II Archive Project” in 2013, just prior to the 70th year since the end of World War II. Since then, the center has continued to collect various materials and testimonies related to Keio during the war, conduct data analysis, and make this information available to the public. While some of these materials are part of the permanent collection, we hope to revisit the theme, “Keio and World War II,” as we approach the 80th anniversary of the end of the war.
The materials will be exhibited in two phases in accordance with fifty keywords. We believe that by delving into each exhibit one by one, including objects whose relationship to the war is not apparent at first glance, as well as textual materials being introduced for the first time, we will be able to pass on memories of the war to successive generations through these remnants.
1. Basic overview

*Closed Sundays, Holidays, and August 9–16 for Summer Break
